This idea originated three years ago when my oldest daughter and I were trying to come up with an idea for her school Invention Convention. As we sat at the kitchen table my youngest child (who is Autistic) was picking up the front end of his ride on toy and slamming it down. He then proceeded to scrap the wheels back and forth on my hardwood floors. He also begain to roll the toy back and forth between the hardwood in the dinning room and the ceramic tile in the kitchen which had a little dirt on it considering I have five kids, three large dogs and four ferrets and I had not swept the floors up after dinner yet(get the picture). My then 20 month old son was driving me crazy with the noise and then I looked down at my floors, which had just been refinished within the past year, and notice they were ruined. I decided to figure out a way to cover the wheels so he could enjoy his toy, which he also loved to use outside, and I could keep my sanity. My husband also appreciated it since after listening to all kinds of noise from machines at work all day those wheels were the last thing he wanted to hear at night. Hence the Invention of Kidems Wheelsox was born.
